Remembrance Day 2024 - THANK YOU

Writer: Site AdminSite Admin

November 2024

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make our Remembrance Day yesterday the success it was.

The weather also cooperated. On our outside ceremonies, the Veterans, First Responders, Pipe Band, Cadets, Colour Party, Parade Commander, Deacon Kenan Mackenzie and Richard Fortier.

Our setup team, our kitchen team, wreath distribution, Chris O’Connor for his beautiful rendition of “A Pittance in Time”, Keith Brind for “In Flanders Fields” and our speaker David Douglas, the Poppy Committee, Doug Campbell for the Entertainment and, of course, our Bartenders.

Everyone worked together to make this day one for us to remember those who served our country and those who continue to do so.

Thank you to all those who came to see the outside ceremonies and to those who joined us inside. This is what makes our Legion a special place to be.

Wilma Jones,

President And the Executive of Branch 109
