President’s Message
To All our Members - Near and Far:
Welcome to 2026 and a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year to all of you. Our new Executive is not quite in place yet as we are looking for someone to come on board as Treasurer so that we can continue with our voting, however, this is what we have so far:
President: Wilma Jones Past President: Steve Baker
1st Vice President: Lori Parker 2nd Vice President: Toni Graillon
Secretary: Lynda Moore Treasurer: Not yet filled
Continuing Members-At-Large for one more year: Keith Brind, Bev Dube, Wayne McMillan
Still required: 3 positions (2-year positions)
Until we are able to fill the position of Treasurer we are unable to move forward with electing the required Members-At-Large. Those who are already in place are working hard to come up with new ideas on how to get the Legion on track and we will list the volunteer opportunities shortly and hope you will give some of those consideration and contact us. As the saying goes… Many hands make light work….
The Treasurer position is complex, but not fulltime, however, we have excellent office help and others to advise and all of us would certainly be willing to assist you in any way that we can. An understanding of book-keeping and financial procedures are an asset. Please contact myself, Wilma Jones, at pres.legion109@gmail.com for further information.
Please be aware if we are unable to obtain a Treasurer, the potential risk is that BC Yukon will place us in Trusteeship and take over the management of the organization.
It is absolutely essential that someone come forward from the membership.
Our next Executive meeting is Sunday, January 11th at 10:00 a.m. and the General Meeting Sunday January, 18th at 1:00 p.m.
Yours in Comradeship,
Wilma Jones

President

Your analysis of the current market trends is very thorough indeed. Using apbook probably helps back up your claims with more recent data points, I think. Most experts skip over the small retailers. Anyway, I found the section on consumer behavior very interesting. Plus, it makes easier to predict the next big thing. Another point, it is kind of strange that the prices are still so high. That said, numbers suggest a drop.
You make a very good point. Using vlbook helps in many situations where the standard tools just fail to deliver. Most people skip over the customization options. Anyway, I think the community will appreciate this. Numbers suggest that users are becoming more savvy. Plus, it makes easier to filter out the noise. That said, I wish the search function was better. Another point, the colors are nice. Quick note, thanks for the helpful tips!
