About Us:
The Gibsons Legion is excited to welcome a new member to our kitchen. This opportunity may also be perfect for someone interested in leasing a small commercial kitchen to expand their existing culinary venture. With a seating capacity of 170 and an adjoining banquet facility for up to 170 guests, we offer a dynamic setting for cooks and caterers to showcase their talent.
Our Offerings:
· Entertainment: Our lounge hosts a variety of events, including "Rock N' Roll Bingo" on Tuesdays, "Eclectic Singers' Circle" on Thursdays, "Coastal Host Events" on most Fridays, and live entertainment on Saturdays.
· Menu: As our cook/caterer, you'll provide food services with a pub style menu tailored to our events as well as Tuesday lunches and Friday dinners.
· Catering: Our hall is frequently rented out for various functions, creating additional catering opportunities.
Food Service Hours:
· Tuesday: 12:00 PM -1:30 PM (Lunch Menu), 6:30 PM * 8:30 PM (Pub Menu)
· Thursday: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Pub Menu)
· Friday: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Dinner and Pub Menu)
· Saturday (with entertainment): Approximately 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Responsibilities:
· Ensure the quality and presentation of all prepared foods meet industry standards.
· Maintain cleanliness in all food preparation and storage areas.
· Manage and minimize food waste by controlling and securing food stocks upon delivery.
· Safely operate and clean all kitchen equipment.
· Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to personal cleanliness standards.
· Determine pricing to manage food and labor costs, ensuring kitchen profitability.
· Acquire all necessary food items to establish a refreshing menu, including healthy choices, vegan-friendly options, and attending to any dietary restrictions.
Qualifications:
· A friendly, positive attitude.
· Previous restaurant experience is a must.
· Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
· Current food safety certification.
