About The Event

Highway Moon: Indie Rock/Alternative/Psychedelic

Formed in the Sea to Sky, Highway Moon writes and plays songs reflective of the volcanic activity and overarching mountaintops of the Pemberton Valley. With each member coming from different walks of life, their unique blend of genres and sounds keep listeners engaged and intrigued with deep thought provoking lyricism, countering melodies and driving rhythms.

Estelle Honeywell: Romantic Ocean Folk.

Estelle is an indie folk singer-songwriter from Gambier Island,( the unceded territories of the Squamish people).  is a force to be reckoned with in the pop and indie pop music genres. Honeywell has won over fans all around the world with her catchy melodies and sympathetic lyrics. Her music combines indie pop's raw, introspective tone with infectious pop hooks to produce a distinctive sound that is clearly her own.

Hope Slide:  Art Rock/Dark Folk/Alternative/Indie

At some point, someone coined the term “distraught rock” which can be used to describe the sound of Hope Slide – overwhelmed by both misery and utter elation all at once.

Much of vocalist/guitarist Calvin A. Jay’s devastating lyricism reflects the need to overcome things. Soaring strings, haunting harmonies, whimsical keys, and moody shoegaze-like guitar colour the emotional journey that, at times, feels like something out of an adulthood fable. All members of the band are multi-instrumentalists and have their own solo projects as well, but together they are deeply collaborative, and their chemistry can be heard within their composition.
